CCH has recently welcomed a few new staff to our Clinics, and we wanted to introduce them to you!

Lourdemie Eugene

Lourdemie has been a long-time staffer at CCH, and has previously been in the role of Patient Liaison for our Primary Care Clinic. Since Melissa Jean-Bart’s departure in March, Lourdemie has stepped into the job of Clinic Coordinator.

Her cheerful demeanor, her love of the patients she serves, and her enthusiastic ideas to keep improving healthcare make her an excellent CCH clinic team member.

Lourdemie Eugene, new Clinic Coordinator at CCH

Michaud Jean Laurant

Michaud is CCH’s new (long-awaited!) Physical Therapist. PT Aides Barbot Dagrin and Baker Thomas have been “holding down the fort” treating patients at CCH’s Physical Therapy Rehab Clinic for the past year, and they’ve done an amazing job in very challenging circumstances. We’re pleased to welcome Michaud who will provide leadership and top notch patient care.

The complete PT Clinic team: Baker, Barbot, Nadedge, and Michaud.

Michaud says, “I am from a little community in Port au Prince, Croix des Bouquets. I studied at UNEPH (The Episcopal University of Haiti), and after that I worked as a Phuysical Therapist for 1 year. Unfortunately, I lost my first job due to COVID-19. I like CCH’s vision to help people and help communities by treat patients so they can restart their lives. My vision for the PT Clinic is to elevate the Clinic to a national and interantional standard of treatment. I love collaborating with my patients and evaluating how we can work together in different ways to treat their problems.”

CCH owes a big thanks to Board Member, Dr. Michele Wiley (Professor of PT at Shenandoah University), and all of our Haiti staff who were instrumental in finding and hiring Michaud.

Emmanuella Boursiquot

With Lourdemie vacating the Patient Liaison role in reception, CCH is using a new staffing model going forward. Instead of one person working to check in patients full-time, we’ve hired one additional nurse. Our four Primary Care nurses will rotate between patient care stations of reception, vital signs, patient care, and pharmacy. This will allow them all to continue building a wider skill set and also enable them to interact with patients in different ways.

New Primary Care Clinic nurse, Emmanuella, greets patients at the front desk.

Emmanuella is newly hired as a Primary Care Clinic nurse, but she’s not new to CCH. ” I started working with CCH in 2016,” says Emmanuella. “I worked as a health community agent in the CCH mobile clinic. That was my first job after graduating from nursing school I received a lot of training and skills at CCH. I am excited to contribute to the CCH team and continue  to serve the community of Jacmel.”

We’re grateful for how God is rearranging and expanding the CCH healthcare team. THANK YOU for all the ways that you help us make this happen. Our clinic patients are getting the care they need because of you!
