As a faith-based organization founded by two US churches, our faith is our foundation for everything we do. CCH provides spiritual care in Haiti integrated into practices throughout our work.
Motivated by God’s grace and love for all humanity, we do not require religious tests or eligibility requirements for people to receive services.
Healthcare—Prayer is part of our daily routine. Most mornings, staff and patients gather to sing a Christian song and pray together. We don’t have a devotional at the clinic but often say Psalm 23 together. And our Haiti staff 1:1 or team meetings always start with prayer. Often, we also share a short devotional or encouraging verse with one another.
Education—Professional development training sessions begin with a prayer and often include a devotional and a Bible verse to encourage the team. Some of our partner schools even go further using the Daily Bible for morning devotionals, offering Bible teaching, and starting teacher or principal meetings with prayer.
Community Development—CCH’s staff and the community development team regularly start their gatherings/training sessions with a song, prayer, and sometimes the Lord’s Prayer.
Whether it’s Friday staff meetings, training, or even just a scheduled one-on-one conversation, prayer is an intentional part of how we work and lead.
