Spiritual Care

We include spiritual practices in all programs.

Healthcare—Prayer is part of our daily routine. Most mornings, staff and patients gather to sing a Christian song and pray together. We don’t have a devotional at the clinic, but we say together Psalm 23. And our Haiti staff 1:1 or team meetings always start with prayer. Often, we also share a short devotional or encouraging verse.

Education—Professional development trainings begin with a prayer and often include a devotion and a Bible verse to encourage the team. Some of our partner schools even go further using the Daily Bible for morning devotionals, offering Bible teaching in each class, and starting teacher or principal meetings with prayer.

Community Development—CCH’s staff and the community development team regularly start their gatherings with a song, prayer, and sometimes the Lord’s Prayer, which everyone memorizes.

Whether it’s Friday staff meetings, training, or even just a scheduled one-on-one conversation, prayer is an intentional part of how we work and lead.
