A story about how CCH partner schools are different, and why that matters… Charles Wood recently graduated from 6th grade and Primary School, but last year he had an accident that could have changed everything.
Charles is your typical tween boy, always on the move and full of curiosity. While playing with friends a year ago, he had a serious accident and came to school with a bandage on his arm. CCH School Nurse, Miss Betty Paul, noticed right away that something wasn’t right.
Miss Paul brought him to the school infirmary and then the CCH Primary Care Clinic. It turned out the injury had cut a vein and gotten infected. If Charles’ school hadn’t had a nurse on site that day, things could have been much worse for him.
Now a year later, Charles says “I feel like my life changed. I am happier than before. Miss Paul is taking good care of us. She gives us free medicines and she is always here for us.” Charles has done well in primary school and is looking forward to continuing his education this fall.
